Whatever has happened in the video game industry since the NES debuted one thing is certain: Nintendo has always been the industry leader when one examines the balance sheet. The 100 year old gaming company has only once posted a quarterly loss and that was due to currency fluctuations. MS and Sony may have thrown their hats in the ring but their gaming divisions have never made any coin. Even in the dark days of the N64 Nintendo held a license to print money.
